I really appreciate that you organize a photo contest focused on nature and the environment, they do need our attention now more than ever. The awarded photos are a true inspiration for me and I bet, for many other photographers.

My awarded photo was taken in a cave that lies hidden under the Kalahari Desert in northern Namibia. Brian Rajdl who you can see in the water was a member of a small expedition of scientists and engineers led by Vickie Siegel.

Seeing this natural reservoir of crystal clear water in Namibia was an amazing experience – this area sometimes doesn't see rain for severals years in a row.
